TweetScan is not only a search engine for Twitter but it also allows you to download
your Twitter Archives to your computer for your own record.
You are able to download the tweets with or without the @replies.
Although some tweets might be missing and a containing a lot of broken user pictures, it is still a great way to save your tweets.

TweetScan is also a Twitter Search engine, read about its search results Here.

Twist (keyword search tool)

Twitter keyword search tools can be used for keyword research for a particular topic and
also a Great way to see who’s tweeting about you or your events.

Twist

Twist/Flaptor

Twist is kind of like Google Trends for Twitter, on how often certain terms or topics are talked about in Twitter. They also show you tweets containing the topic and a list of Hot Trends on the right side bar.

TweetVolume (keyword search tool)

Twitter keyword search tools can be used for keyword research for a particular topic and
also a Great way to see who’s tweeting about you or your events.

TweetVolume user interface

Tweet Volume user interface

TweetVolume shows you the statistics of a term or keyword that has been tweeted on Twitter. You can add 5 terms at one time and see the bar graphs comparing the terms.

There is no difference in the results but Sitevolume will be a better choice to compare the keywords on 5 different platforms.

Twitority allows you to reply to the tweet right away and shows the number of followers the user has. You can choose to display your tweets or not to.
It is slower in updating and does not show the time the tweet is posted.

Overall I would think Twitter Search is better in updating speed and for me, knowing the time of the tweet is more important than knowing the number of followers the user has.

Tweet Scan allows you to reply to the tweet right away and is able to show you search results from both Twitter and Identi.ca, but it does not update as fast and does not show your tweets in the timeline.

To learn how to download all your Tweets archive with TweetScan, click Here.

Overall I would think Twitter Search is better in updating speed and for users like me, who like to see our tweets in the results too (easier to follow a conversation).

Twitter Search is still my favorite.
It updates the fastest, and gives you the most up to date results.
Check out their Advance Twitter Search, it’s comprehensive and cool!

To see who is tweeting about you, search for your twitter username (eg. casseylim).
It shows the tweets from the anyone that contains your name, and shows your tweets too
Not only can you reply to the tweets right away,
you can view the whole conversation in drop down too.
Very neat tool and is integrated in TweetDeck.
